Job Description: Accountant
This position is responsible for preparing financial reports and statements by performing accounting and analysis at an advanced level, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Researching and troubleshooting challenging questions and unusual cases; responding to complex or escalated questions or issues or volatile situations. Daily balancing of Financial systems/processes and issue resolution of any variances. Bank Reconciliation preparation and Cash position analysis. Preparing reports requiring analysis or evaluation as well as customization for the audience.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- College degree in business with accounting coursework and 1 year of accounting experience or 5 years accounting experience.
- MS Office including Word and Excel.
- Analytical skills.
- Verbal and written skills, with good grammar, clear, concise language, and appropriate word choice.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a Corporate Accounting or Finance department.
- Accounts receivable and account payable experience.
- Experience with statutory accounting.
- Experience with MS Access.
- Experience with various financial reporting systems.
- Interpersonal skills; including coaching, process improvement, and employee development.
